Sometimes

From A Song to Save the Salish Sea: Musical Performance as Environmental Activism by Mark Pedelty

  • Dana Lyons' song "Sometimes", which was written about the six proposed coal export ports in Washington and Oregon states. Thousands of people showed up at hearings and people organized and rallied to defeat five of the six proposed coal ports (as of me writing this note on Sept 25, 2016). We still hope to beat the 6th proposed coal port in Longview, WA. I am also singing this song in our efforts to stop the highly explosive Bakken crude oil trains from coming through our communities.
