Sample of a Turkey-red printed cotton, submitted to the Conseil de Commerce in 1765 by Simon Eymard (or Eymar) of Nîmes. As expected, the red color turned brown during testing. The sample was approved despite some loss of vitality to the color noted by Macquer.
