Each column presents three looks at the spatial structure of a different artificial assemblage: A. raw number of artifacts per cell, B. Ii z-scores, and C. histogram of Ii z-scores. Note that each appears with some summary statistics. Underlying ecological patchiness increases from left to right: 1. patch size 42, gap size 0; 2. patch size 10, gap size 4; and 3. patch size 4, gap size 6.
