University of Michigan Carbon Neutral Power and Heat Infrastructure Study: Summary Report

This report was compiled during the academic year of 2019-2020 for the University of Michigan (U-M) President's Commission on Carbon Neutrality by the Integral Group, an external firm selected by the Commission. The Integral Group performed an analysis on how U-M could transition its heat and power infrastructure, including natural gas, to a carbon neutral system across all three U-M campuses.

This report details their findings and identifies a solution that is based on sound financials; technically sound and reliable, while providing flexible long-term solutions; resilient and practical; and scalable and transferable to other institutions and organizations.
