Trapper's Dugout Canoe

From Canoes: A Natural History in North America by Mark Neuzil and Norman Sims

The end decks, deck caps, and wide outwales on this canoe echo what would become the best-known features of Peterborough area all-wood canoes. This dugout dates from early 20th century and was used by its maker, Sherman Hill.
